Wizard Of Oz Slot Review

Vegas-goers will probably have spotted several different versions of the WMS Wizard Of Oz slots dotted around. More than dotted around in fact - they are incredibly popular games. The first of those to come online at WMS's own Jackpot Party casino is one more commonly seen in European casinos, the "Emerald City" game. I first played it in a Budapest casino and is my least favourite version to be honest although thanks to the Flying Monkey free spins feature, it's still pretty decent. There is also a freeplay edition of this particular Wizard Of Oz slot available which you can play here and is open to anyone to play (WMS restrict real money play in many countries).

The thing that probably puts me off this version of Wizard Of Oz most is that you need the "feature" symbol on set reels - 1, 3 and 5 in this case - to trigger it, which I've never been a huge fan of except in games like the Zeus slot machine where it's on reels 1, 2 and 3. But the feature itself can get It's quite common in slots by WMS to be fair and many are very good...just that triggers on any reel feel easier to hit.

You get one of 3 features at random - the Emerald City bonus is a pick 'em style bonus and probably the most usual, the Winged Monkey feature gives 8 free spins with extra wilds and the third option, the most boring, is simply a cash award. None of the features are guarantees of big wins but the Winged Monkey offers the best chance in my opinion.

However during normal play you can also randomly get the random Fairy Godmother bonus where any number of the reels are turned wild! That's a neat touch that is also present on their "Good Witch" Wizard Of Oz Vegas-based game.
